1. Right now..
- You imagined or found an app idea, OR
- you have a hairy problem you need solved.
2. Live Design Meeting
1 to 2 meetings
Whichever you have, together we tease out your app in real time, designing live on-screen, uncovering business logicLearning how you work and building your app to match your way of doing things. and viable product planningWorking together to figure out the best way to build your app so it actually works for real people..
We move fast -- at the speed of thought.
3. Research: Competitor and Market
optional - 1 week
Often overlooked, the benefit of this step is often only realised when your app goes public and feedback comes in.
It's an optional step, but I recommend it. It's project specific and depends on what you are want to achieve.
4. Prioritisation Meeting
1 meeting
We now have a good understanding of what we know, do not know and your goals so we choose which features to build first.
Apps are notoriously unsuccessful.
We follow "minimal viable productBuilding the simplest version of your app that people will actually use - so you can test if your idea works before spending lots of time and money." principles to make sure this doesn't happen.
5. Final App Screens
2 to 3 meetings
You see what your screens look like as a finished appWhat your app screens will actually look like - with real colors, text, and pictures, ready for a developer to build..
You approve, or we do another design pass. Because my design process is collaborative by nature, a first pass is often all we'll need.
From here, if you choose to use your own developers, this is where I package the app for handover with speific notes for them to follow.
6. Download your app.
2 to 3 months
I build your app and you download it from the apple and android play store.
